Summer is one of the busiest times of year for the events industry, and for Task Personnel Solutions, it is a period that showcases the importance of planning, teamwork and operational excellence.
From major festivals and racecourses to live music venues and community partnerships, our teams are supporting thousands of visitors across Yorkshire and the North West throughout the season.
As the summer calendar gathers pace, our teams are continuing to provide security, stewarding, event support and operational services across a wide range of venues and events.
This season has already included Parklife Festival in Manchester, ongoing support at York Racecourse, live events at The Piece Hall in Halifax, Beverley Races, the Great Yorkshire Show and a range of local community initiatives.
While every event is different, they all share the same objective: creating a safe, enjoyable and well-managed environment for visitors, organisers and stakeholders.
Supporting Some of the Region's Biggest Events
One of the standout events of the summer so far has been Parklife Festival, where more than 200+ members of our team were deployed across the weekend.
With tens of thousands of attendees on site, events of this scale require careful coordination, strong communication and the ability to respond quickly to changing situations.
During the weekend, attempts were made by ticketless individuals to breach sections of the perimeter fencing. The incident received media attention, but what stood out to us was the professionalism of our teams on the ground.
Working alongside event organisers, emergency services and other stakeholders, our staff helped maintain control and support the safe running of the event.
Alongside Parklife, our teams have also been supporting events at The Piece Hall, including performances from The Kooks and Belle and Sebastian, while preparations continue for a busy programme at York Racecourse featuring artists including Becky Hill and Craig David.
The summer schedule also includes Beverley Races and the Great Yorkshire Show, both of which attract significant visitor numbers and require experienced operational support.
More Than Security
Security is often measured by what does not happen.
Successful events rely on planning, communication, visibility and experienced teams working together behind the scenes.
From access control and stewarding to customer support, traffic management and incident response, every role contributes to creating a safe and positive experience for visitors.
The most effective event operations are rarely the most visible. They are the ones that allow organisers, performers and guests to focus on enjoying the event with confidence.
Supporting Communities Alongside Events
Not every project this summer takes place on a festival site or racecourse.
Alongside large-scale events, we are proud to support local organisations and community initiatives across the region.
One example is our work managing parking operations on behalf of a local school, helping raise valuable funds that directly support educational activities and resources.
These projects may be smaller in scale, but they are equally important and demonstrate the breadth of support our teams provide throughout the year.
